LITTLE FLOWER MEDICAL RESEARCH CENTRE

At the Little Flower Hospital, on its having completed 50 years of service and after its golden jubilee celebrations, a small research division was started during the year 1987 under Dr.J.K.Mukkadan. with the blessings of  H. Em. Antony Cardinal Padiyara

Mahatma Gandhi University recognized this department as a research centre in physiology for Ph.D. programme during 1991 and ten research scholars were awarded Ph.D. in physiology from this centre. Recently Kerala University of Health science has recoganised LIMSAR as a Centre of research for Ph.D.

1. We have organized the fourth world congress on clinical nutrition at Malabar  Hotel , Cochin ( 3 days)
2. Satellite symposium of the Asian and Oceanian Physiological Societies,1990.
3. Indo –UK international CME programme on cardiovascular disease  and nutrition ,1997
4. National CME programme on primary prevention of cardiovascular disease, 2001
5. CME programme on bioinformatics in medical research,2003
6. Brain Awareness Week during march every year since 2000
